Three-player setup

Remove characters 2 through 8, leaving 108 tiles. East, South and West begin at 35,000. One red five each in circles and bamboo. This preset plays one rated hand at a time; the host can continue with the table scores. No Chi. Pung, Kong, Riichi, Ron and Tsumo are available.

North and dora

On your draw, extract a North for a live-wall replacement and one bonus han. After Riichi only a newly drawn North may be extracted. Extraction cancels Ippatsu, supplies no yaku and reveals no extra indicator. North can also stay in your hand. Extracted Norths receive applicable North dora bonuses.

A replenishing 14-tile dead wall supplies kong replacements, kan dora and ura dora. A 1-character indicator means 9 characters; 9 means 1. Four kongs maximum. Riichi kongs must preserve the wait.

Winning and payments

A yaku is required; dora and North bonuses alone cannot win. Riichi costs 1,000 points, awarded to the winner. Furiten prevents Ron, including temporary furiten after passing a win; Riichi furiten lasts until the hand ends.

Tsumo loss: two opponents pay their usual shares, without a fourth player’s payment. On a draw, 3,000 points move from not-ready to ready players. Nearest winner takes simultaneous Ron. No abortive draws, nagashi mangan, liability payments or robbery of North extraction.

Your table

Choose Bullet (2s + 5s reserve), Blitz (3s + 10s), Standard (5s + 20s) or Relaxed (15s + 60s). Reserve resets each hand. Casual tables may be untimed. Quick Play uses Standard. Calls use the base allowance without reserve; opening exchanges and suit choices get at least 15 seconds. Bots use their own hand and public information. Separate ratings and saved replays are included. Computer move recommendations currently support four-player Riichi only.
